Gardening with Natives

thumbnail_lady and pots.jpg

40 years ago I began to landscape my home acreage which hadn’t a single plant nor distinguishing feature. Working with a landscape designer, we developed a plan to make a habitat garden and suburban micro farm. From then to now, with loving care and respect for nature’s interrelationships, I’ve cultivated a biodiverse, sustainable garden and continue to employ tactics to address drought, climate change and endangered wildlife as well as harvest delicious fruits and vegetables.

Planting natives supports healthy ecosystems and reflects the natural and cultural history of California. The native plants already have established relationships with wildlife above and below ground.

I’m available to share my practices and my garden bounty which features over 400 species.

Judy’s love of gardening, native plants and conservation really shine through. I like the way she structured the class moving us through the property.
